As the name said, Masino Template is a template file that made by Masino Sinaga (yeah, it’s me!) to enhance the look and feel of default template that used by PHPMaker.
The main reason I created this template since the look and feel of PHPMaker default template is unattractive for end-users.
I need a template for the generated Web Applications which has the ability can be changed its layout (menu style, sidebar, header, footer, theme color, theme style) by end-users, without having to keep the setting values into the server. In other words, I want the end-users are able to change the layout on-the-fly from the browser/client-side.
Some of you probably will ask a question: “Why don’t you create Extensions to change the layout?” Well, good question! Yes, before I created Masino Template, I created Masino Extensions. Basically, the GUI for some pages are changed. But not changing the layout too much.
Creating a template file for PHPMaker later was faster and easier for me, than creating some smaller extensions to achieve this template changes. In addition, customizing PHPMaker Template that results Masino Template can reduce the number of file that need to be customized. So, finally I decided to create a template. It’s called: Masino Template.
As a result, Masino Template also included most of new great features that I previously made via Masino Extensions. This is one of so many powerful features in Masino Template. Not only change the look and feel the template itself, but it also customizing the functionalities in the generated Web Applications.
