This is a modification script to add
three four new columns in Ticket List of Client-Side, so that Client will be able to sort the ticket list based on one of those three four new columns.
Currently, only the date and time when the ticket was created is shown in Ticket List of Client-Side. This condition will cause Client cannot sort the Ticket List based on the last date and time of Client or Staff reply the ticket.
Only one .php file that needed to be customized to add those
three four new columns in Ticket List of Client-Side, and you don’t have to do that.

After implementing this modification/customization, then you will see there are
three four new columns in Client-side:
- Last Client, contains the last date and time Client reply the ticket.
- Last Staff, contains the last date and time Staff reply the ticket.
- Staff, contains Staff or Agent name who replies ticket or agent who got the ticket assignment (new since April 12, 2022).
- Help Topic, contains the Help Topic name of current ticket.
Important to know: The information that displayed in Last Client and Last Staff columns will be the same if:
- The ticket has just been created; either by Client or Staff.
- The ticket has just been replied by Client.
The information in both column (Last Client and Last Staff) will be different if a Staff has just replied the ticket. This is the behavior of osTicket that you should know.
I think this is normal, because when a Client has just replied the ticket, then the date and time in Last Staff column should be the same with date and time in Last Client column. This will bring the ticket at the top of the Ticket List.
You can now sort records in Ticket List of Client-Side based on one of those
three four columns, so that you will be able to know which tickets are lastly replied by Staff; including its date and time information respectively.
In addition, by using this customization, you will see that the default sort in Ticket List is based on the Last Staff column DESC. That means, you will see the tickets that last replied by Staff will be located at the top of Ticket List of Client-Side.
Please note that in the existing condition, you can only sort the records in Ticket List of Client-Side based on date of ticket created. So this customization is a must for you who want to display more information that needed by your Client in their Ticket List page.
