Hi, my name is Masino Sinaga. I was born at Jakarta, January 22, 1973. I live and work in Jakarta, Indonesia. I have been a programmer since year of 2000. My main job is writing, modifying, and or implementing scripting from many programming languages. Also from any other resources I got through Internet.
Most of my work I did by repeating them so many times. However, sometimes, I had to search the script which I wrote a few days or months or years ago, and sometimes, I lost my code anywhere while I needed it immediately. So I made this site, in order to keep all of those scripts, moreover easy for me to get if I need them anytime and anywhere. Including for those of you who need this script solution.

Tapi utk beberapa link jd kacau urutan urlnya.

Gara2 masalah link2 ini saya jd mau uninstall qTranslate,
sayangnya semua postnya jadi aneh judul dan contentnya krn string qTranslate-nya tdk hilang. Kira2 gmn solusi utk fix nya ya Bang?

Salam kenal kembali, mas Yudi. WP dan qT-nya pakai yang versi berapa mas? Saya pakai WP 2.8.4 dan qT 2.4.3 Selama ini saya tidak ada masalah, tapi saya tidak pakai Query Mode, tapi Pre-Path Mode. Coba ganti pakai Pre-Path Mode mas. Kalau tidak bisa juga, coba dulu di localhost, lalu kalau sudah fix, baru naikkan ke web server. Semoga berhasil.
Tadinya saya ingin menghindari perubahan URL.
Jaga2 kalau tidak pakai qT lagi, URL-nya tidak banyak berubah
(cuma sisa belakangnya aja ada tambahan ?lang=en).
Tau2 malah bikin puyeng hehe.
Sesuai saran Mas, saya jadi pake Pre-Path Mode aja.

Sama-sama mas. O ya, saya sarankan, kalau sudah pakai plugin qTranslate, sebaiknya jangan pernah lagi menonaktifkan plugin ini. Jadi, sejak awal harus “siap” menggunakan plugin ini untuk seterusnya. Kalaupun memang harus dan terpaksa menguninstall atau menonaktifkan plugin ini, maka kita harus siap-siap menyediakan waktu khusus untuk membersihkan semua tag yang terdapat di database secara manual (kecuali ada plugin khusus untuk melakukannya, hehe…). Alternatif lainnya, bisa menggunakan plugin WPML, di mana untuk setiap translasi artikel, disimpan masing-masing dalam record yang terpisah. Kalaupun plugin ini diuninstall, maka kita tidak repot membersihkan tag seperti kalau pakai qTranslate. Sementara di qTranslate, semua terjemahan untuk post tertentu disimpan dalam satu record yang sama.
Mas saya mau tanya nih,, di q translatenya kan tidak ada bahasa indonesia trus giman nambahnya?

Anda bisa menambahkan bahasa Indonesia dari panel admin, klik menu Settings -> Languages, scroll agak ke bawah, di sana ada bagian Add Language. Selamat mencoba.

Hi Chandu,
You may follow the technique that provided by the original osTicket code. You can see that there is a dropdown list directive named Help Topic on the Open New Ticket form. Therefore, you can create your own dropdown list based on it. Does it make sense for you?

Hi Masino. I tried posting a few times to the osticket Forum but I’d like to know if you would be willing to take on a new challenge. I’m completely mobile so logging in to manage tickets isn’t realistic for me. I need two-way email parsing implemented in osticket.
When enabled, the two-way e-mail parsing feature allows both end-users and staff users to update tickets in the support desk via e-mail. A staff user can reply to a ticket update alert e-mail. This reply will be processed by the e-mail parser, recorded in the support desk and forwarded to the end-user (ticket creator).
Masino, any interest in taking this on? I might be able to pay if the price isn’t too expensive.

Hi Dan. I am affraid I cannot receive your challenge as I have never used and modified the script related to email parsing. At the moment, I am focusing on how to modify the osTicket feature so that client or staff will be able to use it via web. I suggest you to contact Peter to get the advanced support regarding your requirements. Good luck.
Hi Masino… Thanks Man for such an excellent Job. Now have a problem with Osticket R6.5. I have implemented the Osticket but our company has over 10 branches and every branch has its own help topics. Now the problem is mixed help topics. Can I have help topics filtering based on a branch. So clients selects their branch and systems loads respective help topics for that branch.

Yes, you can. As long as the help topic has been related to its department, then client or staff can loads the respective help topic for that department (in your case: the branch). Of course, this needs the special modification to implement it. I will try to make it come true, but I cannot promise you the exactly when will I do it for you. So, stay tuned to check it to my blog everyday, until the time has come.

One question with regards to osTickets, have you seen anywhere a mod that aloows you to change the ticket status from the actions dropdown menu. For us 3 statuses is very limited and would like to add a few more.

Hi Domenic,
Actually, this is easy to add more than ‘open’ and ‘closed’ status by altering the status field in ost_ticket table. You can see that this field is an enum field type. You have to alter it by adding another new status.
Unfortunately, after you added the new status, you have to adjust the code regarding the new status since the default ones are those two status only.
Does it make sense for you?

Karena penasaran sy test dong, saya langsung buka homepage saya, tapi..
sy coba en, de, id, semua hasilnya sama tetap bahasa indonesia seperti biasa. Apakah ada yg salah? Perasaan artikel yg saya test bukan masalah fanatisme/nasionalisme, kok bahasanya ga mau rubah ya…??

Anda pakai WP dan qTranslate versi berapa? Lalu, apakah Anda sudah sesuaikan *semua* pengaturan yang terdapat di menu Setting -> Languages dari panel admin untuk qTranslate-nya?
Jika sudah, coba Anda buat artikel baru yang isinya sederhana saja dengan bahasa yang berbeda. Seharusnya jika semua sudah oke, maka artikel akan menyesuaikan ke bahasa yang sedang terpilih.

» saya coba bikin postingan dengan title di ID dan en sama arti dan beda bahasa, tentu 1 id 1lagi en
» saya isi tab yang bahasa indonesia saja, yang english saya kosongin isi postingannya
» saya akses di homepage, yg id tampil sesuai yg sy buat, tapi yg en keluar text bahwa “postingan ini hanya tersedia dalam bahasa indonesia saja”

Betul, jawabannya: wajib, dan memang harus begitu. Jadi, setiap tab harus diisi. Kalau tidak, maka ketika Anda pilih bahasa yg tidak ada terjemahannya, maka akan muncul pesan “postingan ini hanya tersedia dalam bahasa indonesia saja”. Memang jelas merepotkan jika ada banyak bahasa. Untuk itulah, sebelum memutuskan menggunakan plugin ini, harus direncanakan dulu sejak awal matang-matang akan menggunakan berapa bahasa. Kalaupun di tengah jalan ingin menambah bahasa baru, maka konsekuensinya ya seperti di atas tadi kalau ada pengunjung memilih bahasa yang tidak ada terjemahannya. Tapi menurut saya itu sah2 saja, kalau memang artikel itu tidak ada terjemahan ke bahasa lainnya.
Pesan error-nya apa ya? Kalau pesan seperti di atas tadi, maka itu bukan pesan error, tapi hanya menjelaskan bahwa terjemahan utk bahasa tersebut tidak tersedia. Sudah terjawab kan?

Google Translation kan ada? Memang tidak 100% hasil terjemahannya tepat, tapi paling tidak itu sudah sangat membantu. Tinggal edit dikit saja.
Ok.. sbnrny sy dah nemu dari google, cm kmrn terlihat qt tampilannya lebih bagus coz terjemahannya di halaman situs sendiri.

Betul. Pesan dari Google tersebut biasanya muncul jika web yang kita daftarkan menggunakan bahasa utama yang bukan Inggris (non-English). Syarat utama supaya web kita diterima di Google Adsense adalah bahasa utama web tersebut harus menggunakan bahasa Inggris (English). Demikian solusinya.

Is there any way to get a report on the closed/open tickets with details.
We want to know how many tickets we closed per month and how long it took us to close them.
We have different customers and we needed to obtain the report for each of them.

I wanted to thank you for all the work you’ve done with helping others with OSTicket. I don’t think OSTicket would be anywhere as useful as it is without you!
On another note, I implemented a couple of your PHP codes in OSTicket, and for some reason, I can’t display my ticket thread now. If you are interested, I would do whatever I can to see if you could look at it. If you aren’t interested, I understand, you probably get 100s of people everyday asking the same thing!
